What We Believe About Work
Work was not invented by the universe.
It was established by God.
Before sin entered the world, God placed humanity in the garden to work and to keep it Genesis 2:15. Work preceded the fall. What followed was toil, frustration, and striving apart from God.
From Scripture, we affirm:
Work is good when God is central
Hustle becomes harmful when it replaces surrender
Discipline is biblical, but self-glorification is not
Excellence honors God when it flows from obedience, not anxiety
We reject grind culture that treats exhaustion as virtue and busyness as identity.
We reject prosperity teaching that measures blessing by accumulation.
We affirm a life of diligence, integrity, humility, and faithfulness before God.
